How do I play BeatDeck?+
Each round, a mystery song is revealed. You need to place it in the correct chronological position on your timeline of songs. Tap "Earlier" if you think it came before the existing songs, or "Later" if it came after. Narrow it down by placing it between two songs you already have. The closer you get to the correct year, the more points you score.
How many players can play?+
BeatDeck supports 1 to 4 players in pass-and-play mode — everyone shares one device. Each player takes turns on the same phone. Sign in with Apple to submit your score to the global leaderboard at the end.
Do I need to create an account?+
No. You can play BeatDeck completely offline and without signing in. An account is only needed if you want to submit scores to the global leaderboard. We use Sign in with Apple — no email or password required.
How do I delete my account and data?+
Email us at support@beatdeckapp.com with the subject "Delete my account" and we'll remove all your data within 30 days. You can also stop using the app at any time — we don't collect any data unless you're signed in.
What is Challenge Mode?+
During another player's turn, you can challenge their placement if you think they got it wrong. If you're right, you steal their points. If you're wrong, they keep them and get a bonus. It's the best way to stay engaged even when it's not your turn.
What are Speed Rounds?+
Speed Rounds are timed bonus rounds where you have to place songs as quickly as possible. Correct placements score extra points, but the clock is always ticking!
Can I change the music genre or era?+
Yes! From the home screen, tap Genre and Era to customise your game. Choose from Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, Electronic, R&B, or Country. Restrict the era to a specific decade range — great for themed nights.
What are the seasonal themes?+
Themes change the look and feel of the game and filter songs to match the mood. Available themes include Christmas, Halloween, Summer, Party, and Love. Perfect for seasonal get-togethers.
BeatDeck isn't working — what should I do?+
Try force-quitting and relaunching the app. If you're experiencing issues with the leaderboard, check your internet connection. If the problem persists, please email us at support@beatdeckapp.com with a description of what happened and your device model.
